Sunnfjord Business Park
– an attractive location for establishment
Sunnfjord Næringspark is located by E39, close to the most populous area in Sunnfjord county. In collaboration with Eviny, we have an ambition to offer a modern and future-oriented business park that facilitates the utilization and use of alternative forms of energy.
Central location by the E39, and fly to Oslo in 55 minutes.
Easy to go green, e.g. own electricity production with solar cells.
Power hub in the middle of the park – utilize the surplus power in NO3.
The development in Førde in the 1970s with a shipyard, airport, hospital and trading house led to Førde going from 4,000 inhabitants to over 13,000 inhabitants within a few years. Today, the new, merged Sunnfjord municipality has over 22,000 inhabitants. As a host municipality for several directorates, universities and vocational schools, central hospital, county council, county governor, bank and insurance, Førde can show a high degree of skilled workplaces.
Central and future-oriented
E39 runs straight through the city, which makes communication with the outside world quick and easy, whether you travel by car, bus or plane. The flight time Bringeland-Gardermoen is approximately 55 minutes. In other words, it is no more than an hour from Førde to Oslo. We are working together with Vestland County Council on an electric flight route between Førde and Bergen.
Ready during 2025
The first construction phase of Sunnfjord business park was opened in 2020. The goal is that the entire Sunnfjord business park will be ready by 2025. A separate area plan has been adopted, and work is underway on a new detailed regulation plan that will be completed at the end of 2024. We nevertheless aim to start up the construction work in the last part of the park before summer 2024.
The entire park with green area will be 300 acres, while the cultivated part will be about 230 acres. Much of the infrastructure is in place, but there is still some more provision for walking and cycling, as well as a bridge over Jølstra in the middle of the park.
Moskog – a power hub in the middle of the business park
Sunnfjord Næringspark is located close to Moskog Transformatorstasjon and has a favorable location for utilizing the available surplus power in NO3.
The river Jølstra, which flows straight through the business park, simultaneously lays the foundation for the Jølstra power plant further up the watercourse. The power plant produces 252 GWh. With its transmission (420 kV) and regional grid (132 kV), Moskog is one of the largest power hubs in the country.
It should be easy to choose green solutions
The location of the park also makes it attractive to look at self-production of electricity and hot water by setting up solar cells. In addition, thermal energy sources are also relevant. This applies to water from the river Jølstra, outside air and energy wells. Sunnfjord business park is partially built up on mass that was removed in connection with the construction of Jølstra Power Plant. Underneath the area runs the outlet tunnel from the power plant, before it is leased back to Jølstra just before Movatnet. We have therefore looked at the possibility of utilizing the water in this tunnel for cooling, in order to utilize more of the potential in the river without carrying out new interventions in nature.
